What is a Fit-To-Fly Test?
The Fit-To-Fly test is completed in advance of travel to determine your eligibility to travel or to enter a country based on your COVID-19 infection status. The Fit-To-Fly COVID test is required by many destinations and airlines to ensure passengers are fit to travel without spreading the virus. If your Fit-To-Fly test is positive, and you are shown to be infected with COVID-19, you will be determined ‘unfit’ to fly and unable to complete your planned trip.
Do I Need a Fit-To-Fly Test?
Requirements for Fit-To-Fly testing vary depending on your travel destination, vaccination status, airline and other factors. Check entry requirements, and with your airline or travel agent to determine whether a Fit-To-Fly test is required for your trip, and whether there are specific requirements regarding the testing method (e.g PCR/LFD).
Regulations are subject to change at any time with short notice – it’s important to check the latest information regularly before you undertake any international trips.
What If My Fit-To-Fly Test is Positive?
If your Fit-To-Fly test is positive, you will not be able to undertake your planned journey. Your airline or destination country will not permit you to travel if your Fit-To-Fly test result is positive.
What If My Fit-To-Fly Test is Negative?
If your Fit-To-Fly test is negative, you will be able to undertake your planned journey. You will be provided with any required test results documentation and a Fit-To-Fly certificate that will permit you to travel if your result is negative.
