Travellers arriving to England after international travel can now complete a private COVID-19 test to reduce their self-isolation time.
What is Test to Release for international travel?
Test to Release is a scheme that allows international arrivals to England to end self-isolation earlier than the required 10 days. You will complete a COVID-19 test to determine whether you are currently infected with the virus. If your result is negative and you are not infectious with coronavirus, you will be able to end self-isolation once you get your result.
Where can I get Test to Release for COVID-19?
Nomad are approved by the UK government as providers of Test to Release for international travel. We use UKAS approved laboratories to process samples.

Am I eligible to opt-in to the Test to Release scheme?
Only travellers arriving to England from destinations that are not currently on the UK travel ban list are eligible to participate in the Test to Release scheme. The Test to Release scheme does not apply to arrivals to Scotland & Wales. All arrivals are required to complete a passenger locator form online before arriving in the UK. The form can be submitted within the 48 hours before you arrive in the UK. Those arriving in England will be able to opt-in to the Test to Release scheme when completing their passenger locator form.
When should I book a Test to Release appointment?
Book your test before you depart for England. We will give you some details about your booking to enter on your passenger locator form. Book your test to take place on or after the 5th full day of self-isolation. You must continue to self-isolate while you await your test result.
Example – you leave your departure destination on Monday morning and arrive in England at 10am on Monday morning. Tuesday will be your first full day of self-isolation. You can take a test no earlier than your 5th full day of self-isolation. In this example, your test should be booked to take place on or after Saturday
Can I end self-isolation after I have taken a Test to Release COVID-19 test?
If you take your Test to Release at a Nomad clinic, you must return home straight away and continue to isolate until you have received your test results. You must wait until you have received a negative coronavirus test result before you can end self-isolation.
